St. Anthony S Catholic Primary School, London
In addition to the statutory curriculum, children are offered French from Year One to Year Six. Peripatetic teachers offer a range of musical instrumental teaching and there are weekly sessions with our resident artist and FA accredited PE coach.
Visits to places of interest including theatres, parks, galleries, museums, historical sites and especially our annual weeklong School Journey to Holland enliven the curriculum. A new school journey to France was offered for the first time this year. A highlight of the year was the School Council visit to Westminster which included a guided tour of 10 Downing Street.
Visits from friends such as Eva Schloss (stepsister of Anne Frank) who visits each year and the National Philharmonic orchestra's workshops extend the range of experiences available to our children.
We have a very good after school club and other after school activities include modern dance, French, Spanish, guitar, violin, recorders, hockey, karate, football, chess, crochet & knitting, cubs, beavers and brownies.
We participate in a number of musical performances and sporting competitions and have won the Southwark Hockey Cup twice.
